Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton: Pavlyuchenko scores continous

Tottenham Hotspur a 2-1 win over Everton in Premier League duel, Sunday (28.2.2010). With a collection of 49 points and 23 goals a surplus, they are entitled to up to fourth position shifts Manchester City.

The results were fair enough considering Tottenham did appear aggressive and dominant since the early minutes. In the first ten minutes alone, they are able to create two golden opportunities, without even threatened penetration.

It did not take long for Tottenham to see the good work goals to fruition. Right in the eleventh minute, they managed to beat the visitors thanks Roman Pavlyuchenko scored. Utilizing feedback Jermaine Defoe, Pavlyuchenko strikes the ball into the goalkeeper Tim Howard.




Everton had tried to respond through Yakubu and Steven Pienaar. However, Everton could not yet leveled, widened the distance be Tottenham 2-0 thanks to Luca Modric goal at minute 28. Utilizing feedback Niko Kranjcar, Modric scored the ball in the middle of the Everton goal.

Goal is to make the game even more heat. Both sides involved in the threats to each other, which unfortunately did not produce a goal until the break.

Entering the second half, Everton took the initiative to attack. They also managed to build a better co-ordination game and poured some serious threat to the Tottenham goal.

Almost without barriers, Everton and mengkis managed a 1-2 margin thanks to a goal Yakubu in the 55th minute. From the middle of the penalty box, Yakubu managed to reach the bait menyepaknya Jack Rodwell and into the lower left corner of goalkeeper Gomes.

Do not want to lose the moment, Everton consistent flow to the heart attack host defense. However, Tottenham react quickly to improve the quality midfield to thwart the attack and take over the game.

As the fight entered the 70th minute, Tottenham have again dominated the game. In addition, they are also able to drain a dangerous threat to Howard's goal through Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar. However, Howard managed to deflect.

Unexpectedly, Everton suddenly loosen the defense and launched a vigorous onslaught, which almost led to goals from Landon Londovan feet. Unfortunately, his shot still deviating from the target.

Despite failing, Donovan actions inspire Everton to go back up to avoid defeat. Rely on the wings game, they kept pushing Tottenham defense. Unfortunately, their hard work had failed to turn up to 1-2 behind a long whistle. (*)
