Manchester United 4-0 Stoke City: Park great-header

Sunderland 0-1 Manchester United: Nani super-strike

Bayern Munchen 2-1 Manchester United: Olic late strike

Two headers from Rooney helped Manchester United to a 3-2 victory at AC Milan in the Champions League last-16 first leg, as United came from behind to score a crucial away win.
A spectacular goal by Jean Makoun gave Olympique Lyon a 1-0 win over Real Madrid, handing the Spaniards their first away defeat in this season's competition.
Nine-time champions Real, who last reached the quarter-finals in 2004, dominated possession but failed to create many chances despite Cristiano Ronaldo's efforts up front.
United made sure they spoiled David Beckham's first ever appearance against his old club after the former England captain - on loan to Milan from the Los Angeles Galaxy - had provided the free kick that led to Milan's early goal in the first leg match.

Manchester United 5-0 Portsmouth: Rooney 23rd goal

Wayne Rooney helped steer Manchester United back to the top of the table with a resounding victory over Portsmouth.
The England striker broke Pompey's resistance with his 23rd goal of the season, equalling a career-best total.
The only surprise, given United's possession, was it took them until the 40th minute to make the breakthrough.
However that goal gave Sir Alex Ferguson's side the impetus they needed and Portsmouth collapsed.

Manchester City 2-1 Manchester United: The price of Tevez

Defending Premier League champions Manchester United started their FA Cup campaign with a game against Leeds United at Old Trafford in the third round on Sunday,03/01/2010, but against their old rivals from Yorkshire they were ousted thanks to a Jermaine Beckford goal.
