Fulham 0-2 Aston Villa: Agbonlahor double strikes

Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor, who scored two decisive goals his team 2-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League duel continued, at Craven Cottage, Saturday (30/1/2010). With a collection of 40 points, Villa climbed to sixth position, shifting Manchester City.

Not easy for Villa to get the result. In the early minutes, they almost conceded by the host. At least, in the first ten minutes, Fulham creating three opportunities through Bobby Zamora goal and Damien Duff. Fortunately, Brad Friedel was able to overcome the threat.

New Villa showed improvement when the fight entered the 20th minute. At that time, they were able to escape the pressures and the endless attack of the foot goal opportunities Emile Heskey. Unfortunately, Heskey shot that led to the goalkeeper stranded at the hands of Mark Schwarzer.




Despite failing, Villa were able to keep his position and turned control of the game. After waiting until the 40th minute, they even managed to excel thanks to a goal Agbonlahor. Utilizing feedback Stilian Petrov, Agbonlahor sent the ball into the top left corner of Fulham's goal.

Do not want to lose the moment, Villa hit back immediately and created the second goal Agbonlahor in the 44th minute. Utilizing feedback Carlos Cuellar, Agbonlahor sent the ball into the top right corner of goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

In the second half, Bolton tried to get up and perform dangerous pressure to the heart of Villa defense. The result, in the 57th minute, they created two goal opportunities through Bobby Zamora and Zoltan Gera. Luckily for Villa, Friedel managed to save it.

Pressure forcing Villa Fulham relax and focus to attack the back line. The result, though failing to add a goal, they were able to maintain the advantage until the end of the fight.

Throughout the game, Villa had the ball for 45 percent and made six shots on goal from 12 businesses. Meanwhile, Fulham make four golden opportunities of the experiment 19 times. (*)
