Manchester United 2-1 Wolfsburg: Owen Injuried

Manchester United victory over Wolfsburg to his guest exchanged with striker Michael Owen injury. Owen suffered a thigh injury and had to be absent for three weeks.

In action at Old Trafford on Wednesday (30 / 9/2009), Owen appeared since the first minute.
However, he had to leave the field after 20 minutes of action. Dimitar Berbatov then entered his place.

For Owen, this injury is very a loss. So far, former Liverpool and Real Madrid was always saying that he was not vulnerable to injury. The day before the duel against "The Wolfs", he promised to show up and want to prove that he was worthy of joining the England national team.




However, coach Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced Owen that the physical condition is strong enough to deal with this problem. Owen will be in action soon though have to wait three weeks.

"With a groin injury, I was hard to tell (how long he will miss), maybe two or three weeks, but a good fitness level," said coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

Prior to joining MU, Owen suffered a series of injuries to his knee. Injury which made him out of England squad for the formation of coach Fabio Capello.
