Defending Premier League champions Manchester United started their FA Cup campaign with a game against Leeds United at Old Trafford in the third round on Sunday,03/01/2010, but against their old rivals from Yorkshire they were ousted thanks to a Jermaine Beckford goal.
Leeds United provided the upset of the FA Cup third round with a 1-0 famous win of Manchester United at Old Trafford.
A Jermaine Beckford goal gave Leeds the lead in the first half and a solid second half performance sealed their victory to dump the Premier League champions out of the FA Cup.
Manchester United welcome back Jonny Evans and Gary Neville to their defence, Wes Brown was a late inclusion in the side after Nemanja Vidic pulled up after the pre-match warm up. Sir Alex Ferguson made changes in midfield seeing Danny Welbeck, Darron Gibson, Anderson and Gabriel Obertan all starting.
