Chelsea 5-0 Blackburn: Essien great strike
AFP
Chelsea celebrate five goals without reply, 5-0, while entertain Blackburn Rovers in the English League week 10. Additional three points from the fight take the Blues at the top at least for a day.
Compete at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (24/10/2009) , Chelsea had created difficulties. Single of goals created in the first round came from suicide Gael Givet.
The second half, Chelsea break down the visitor's goal four times in just 16 minutes. Two goals came from Frank Lampard (48 & 59), while the other two goals by Michael Essien (52) and Didier Drogba (64).
Essien scores a great strike almost from half field.
An additional three points from this victory to Chelsea for a while entitled to sit on top of the standings with a value of 24, or winning two of Manchester United. John Terry had a chance to maintain the top of the standings since the MU game would be difficult to live with a visit to Liverpool.
While for Blackburn is their fifth defeat this season. With 10 points, Sam Allardyce foster children are still stranded in 13th position standings.
